COVID 19 is not something to joke about and why were these posts taken down?

A concerned citizen sent me this screenshot and text. Public Health will not be in until Monday and they don't always confirm or respond, anyway.

I called Winco. Explained the situation told them who I was and after being put on hold for several minutes, with no response, I hung up.

This is a particular problem in Humboldt where instead of calling Public Health or media, people post on online forums or some neighborhood community page which is not a news outlet or vets information. It is a chatroom atmosphere with people posting information with no responsibility or consequences. Facebook and many online forums are a joke when it comes to moderation.

COVID 19 is not something to joke about so why were some of these posts taken down? 

If you want to play" journalist" or put information out there online, then be prepared the for the risk that it will be shared. Be prepared your name will be out there and to stand by your words.  People just post and type without thinking. They don't mind the attention but a little bit of backlash and they start whining.

You want privacy,? Stay off social media and dont post online. Most of you have no problem on a daily basis using people in media, who use our names, as your punching bag for your misdirected anger and frustration.

You create hysteria and fear by posting allegations and claims online, then you want your name to be removed or your post removed.

Should have thought of that before you typed. There is no privacy online. What you put out there can be shared and will be shared. 

Was Barbara thinking about Winco or the employee and the consequences of her post on other people and their livelihoods? 

People have no problem posting online and endangering other people or businesses without providing evidence. Then don't whine if you are called out and deny responsibility and attack the messenger.

In today's world, unlike wannabe cowards posting on social media, media have to post screenshots and sometimes identifying information as verification and evidence. A responsible person would have contacted any media outlet, an elected official or Public Health.

Despite specific examples of errors and misinformation repeatedly, certain media outlets have not been held accountable by the local "whiners." Public Health, PIOS and media then have to spend time quelling or vetting your information.

I see after my post today, people are tagging other news outlets. Debra Nichols shared this post on Rex Bohn's page today, three hours ago. 

Bryan's post has been up since yesterday. There are many news and firsts on my page that end up reported elsewhere. This is just one example. 

Did Debra ask Bryan before sharing? This is specifically a question for the people with double standards. At least, Debra tagged and reached out to news outlets and an elected official, which is what Barbara should have done.

There are people commenting on Debra Nichol's post. Others linking Humboldt Uncensored.

All proving my point. People with their chatroom mentality posting away in Humboldt, taking no responsibility.  

The Winco post seems to have disappeared or has been flagged. I checked at 5:55 p.m.

There is also one on Safeway on craigslist. Another typical anonymous, Humboldt "information" "post. Checked on 8/30/20 and that post is gone.

There are way too many people posting on Facebook and online with a lot of claims about these two grocery stores. Instead of Facebook and posting online, if people want transparency, it is time to step up, get involved in the comunity,  speak at meetings, call your elected officials and do something concrete instead of hiding behind a screen venting.  In Humboldt, people want change but most people just sit and vent and post on Facebook. They want someone else to take the risk, with no support, a lot want to be anonymous but feel entitled to the benefits brought about by the few who speak up.

While we are talking about risks, just because I am accessible and not controlled by certain locals, you don't get to harass and attack me and twist things on social media or spread lies on your local gossip cooler. That has been done prior to this blog and after this blog.

The petty bullies that do such behavior towards me and others get away with it because they have been allowed to in Humboldt by the "mean girls" mentality to destroy lives, bully and attack anyone threatening  the status quo or exposing truth and if you happen to be an outsider and dont kow tow to the "right people."
