Trial confirmation for Ronald Loureiro was scheduled this morning. Further trial confirmation was scheduled for August 11. Jury trial is scheduled for August 17.
Deputy District Attorney Shelly Small is the prosecutor for this case. Loureiro's attorney is Deputy Conflict Counsel Owen Tipps. Conflict Counsel Supervising Attorney Meagan O'Connell appeared in court for Mr. Tipps today.
Defense requested further trial confirmation.
"We are trying to resolve the case. There is one sticking issue," said Ms. Small. "I thought we were close to resolving this case or we can go to trial."
Besides the 2018 case in which Loureiro is charged with murder, he has two cases from 2019 and one from 2017.
