Defense motion to continue Hugo Parral-Aguirre's jury trial granted

Further trial confirmation for Hugo Aguirre was scheduled today. Jury trial  scheduled for August 17 was vacated. Defense wanted to continue the jury trial. No objection by the People.

That motion was granted today by Judge Christopher Wilson. Aguirre waived time, reluctantly by his expression.

I reported in detail on the reasons in the last post, which is linked below.

Aguirre is charged with attempted murder of HCSO Deputy Rosalie Freixas; attempted murder of Carol Fuentes;  false imprisonment of Courtney Schlapicohl and assault with a firearm on HCSO Sgt. Greg Musson

Trial confirmation October 15. Jury trial is November 15.

Deputy District Attorney Whitney Timm appeared for Deputy DA Stacey Eads. Conflict Counsel Supervising Attorney Meagan O'Connell is Aguirre's attorney.

Time estimate is 6 to 8 weeks.
