"The ability to speak truth to power is essential to a functioning republic. "

The Center for American Liberty has filed two lawsuits agains Governor Gavin Newsom.

#RuinedbyNewsom is mentioned twice in the description of one of these lawsuits.

PBFC vs NEWSOM:

"The Center for American Liberty is proud to be representing The Professional Beauty Federation of California (PBFC) in their case against Governor Newsom. The PBFC represents more than 500,000 members throughout the state, all of whom are currently prohibited from making a living under the current shutdown orders."

"Many of California’s beauty professionals are small business owners that employ 1099 contractors and aren’t eligible for the Paycheck Protection Program."

"Governor Newsom is denying over half a million licensed, highly trained professionals their human right to earn a living, and is using the strong arm of the law to punish and grind them into submission." -----Harmeet K. Dhillon.

SIX vs NEWSOM

"The Center for American Liberty in collaboration with the Dhillon Law Group and the American Phoenix Project, filed a lawsuit in federal court this morning against Governor Newsom and others on behalf of five Californians who had life defining moments #RuinedByNewsom by denying their constitutional rights."

"Plaintiff Monica Six of Orange County had her April 21, 2020 wedding #RuinedByNewsom. Plaintiffs Derek and LaurieSue Medlin have been denied access by Newsom, for all but 30 minutes twice a week to their special needs son who lives in a non-medical residential home that provides 24/7 care.Plaintiff Bailey Batten of San Diego had her high school graduation #RuinedByNewsom."

"Plaintiff Jane Doe is a breast cancer survivor, her surgeon deems it necessary to schedule a reconstruction surgery. However, the surgeon cannot schedule this necessary surgery because Newsom is refusing hospitals to perform “cosmetic” procedures."

"United States Attorney General Barr issued a memo on April 27, 2020 to all United States Attorneys to identify state directives that could be violating the Constitutional rights and civil liberties of individual citizens."

“The Constitution is not suspended in times of crisis,” Barr said in his memo. “If a state or local ordinance crosses the line from an appropriate exercise of authority to stop the spread of COVID-19 into an overbearing infringement of constitutional and statutory protections, the Department of Justice may have an obligation to address that overreach in federal court.”

"The lawsuit asks for injunctive relief by the United States District Court for the Central District of California for violating the plaintiffs’ 5th and 14th amendments to the United States Constitution and ART. 1, §1 RIGHT TO LIBERTY of the California State Constitution."

"The ability to speak truth to power is essential to a functioning republic. Even if you disagree with someone’s speech, the right to speak truth to power is what separates our nation from the rest of the world."--Harmeet K. Dhillon.
