I was told she was released, her attorney was told the same thing but she is still in jail

Alma Ahumadamendoza had hearing scheduled at for determination of conflict on May 18. Another hearing is scheduled for May 21.



The real shocker was that Ahumadamendoza is still in custody. I was told yesterday that she was not; the same information was given to Mr. Russ Clanton who took over her case after the Public Defender declared conflict on April 29. Now, Mr. Clanton has a conflict. The Court islooking for a private attorney. Mr. Clanton suggested Mr. Neal Sanders.

Her co-defendant originally had Conflict Counsel. The declared a conflict. He is being repredented by Ms. Andrea Sullivan

Why there was an error regarding custody status was not addressed this morning.

Ahumadamendoza is charged as an accessory after the fact in the Rio Dell homicide of Johnny Renfro.
