Verdict in Zachary Harrison case


Verdict in at 3:22 p.m. for Zachary Harrison case. Jury found Harrison guilty of first degree murder. Special allegation was found to be true. Sentencing is on October 30. Victim is Robert Holtsclaw.

First degree murder in California is 25 years-to-life in prison. The special allegation of personally and intentionally discharging a firearm and proximately causes great bodily injury. An additional 10, 20 or 25-years to life in prison.

With access restrictions and the safety power shut off at the Courthouse, the verdict was read in the jury assembly room.
