Senator Kamala Harris was not aware of a harrassment and retaliation lawsuit filed against a man working for her?

Larry Wallace, a senior staff member working for California Senator Kamala Harris resigned yesterday.



This happened after  The Sacramento Bee inquired about a $400,000 harassment and retaliation settlement while Wallace was working for Harris at the California Department of Justice.

Harris' office claims she was unaware of the issue.

The lawsuit was filed on Dec. 30, 2016, when Harris was still attorney general, getting ready to be sworn in as California’s senator. The lawsuit was settled less in May 2017, by Xavier Becerra, who was appointed to replace Harris as attorney general.
