Jury trial for alleged molestor Mark Dare confirmed with a caveat
Trial confirmation was scheduled this morning for alleged molestor Mark Dare. Jury trial is scheduled for January 28, 2019. Dare is charged with sexual abuse of his stepdaughters. He posted bail and is out of custody
At the preliminary hearing, his wife and the mother of the two girls supported Dare.
Public Defender Marek Reavis is representing Dare. At the last hearing, he asked Visiting Judge Terrence Boren for specific dates based on expert witness availability and his schedule. At the last hearing, Mr. Reavis mentioned he has a homicide trial starting that has priority, so trial was confirmed today with that caveat. Another trial confirmation date scheduled for January 17.
Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer is prosecuting the case.
