Lawrence Killoran campaign kickoff next Tuesday at the Gazebo in Old Town

After a Humboldt County courtroom career spanning 17 years, Lawrence Killoran has announced his intention to apply his courtroom experience and knowledge to the role of Superior Court Judge. Killoran is running for the judicial seat that will be vacated by the retiring Hon. Dale A. Reinholtsen.

Killoran has been a strong advocate and counselor for his clients. His experience in a wide range of legal matters, including criminal law, family law, civil law, and juvenile law, has provided a strong and solid background making him well prepared to serve as Superior Court Judge.

He has strong support from members of the courthouse staff, attorneys, and judges. He has a work ethic and a reputation for fairness in his dealings with opposing counsel, such that he has been encouraged to run and is supported by many of his colleagues, who currently endorse his run for judicial office.

Outside of the courtroom, Killoran has been an active community member having raised three daughters in Humboldt County. He has been a 10-year volunteer coach with Mad River Youth Soccer League, and has also coached basketball and softball.

Killoran has also volunteered over many years as a “stage parent” for Eureka’s North Coast Dance performances of “The Nutcracker” and Arcata’s Humboldt Light Opera Company performances of “The Wizard of Oz” and “Mary Poppins.”

In addition, Killoran has been a volunteer counselor at Legal Services of Northern California in Eureka. In that capacity, Killoran has provided free legal advice to financially challenged individuals in family law for over 13 years. Killoran believes that volunteering makes your community a better place to live.

Long time and well-regarded local attorney, Zachary Zwerdling, had this to say about Killoran:
“I have practiced law in Humboldt County for 42 years. During that time, very few judicial candidates have emerged that are as uniquely qualified to be a Superior Court Judge as Lawrence Killoran. He is highly ethical, intellectually gifted, and has legal experience over a broad spectrum of different legal fields. Please vote for Larry and encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same.”

Please come and show your support for Lawrence Killoran on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 12:00 noon, at F and 2nd Street, Eureka, the Gazebo in Old Town as he makes his commitment to our county by confirming his run for judicial office.

  1. Bill Bragg would be a better choice don't think he'd take that kind of pay cut though. Good luck Larry.
