Seng Yang's preliminary hearing for alleged rape of a child, distribution of child porn and 8 other felonies to be rescheduled

Intervention was scheduled this afternoon for Seng Yang. Preliminary scheduled for January 23 was vacated. Yang waived both the 10 and 60 day time waiver. Setting is scheduled for March 5 at 10:15.



Seng Yang charged with 10 felony counts. Charges include rape of a child including forcible oral copulation, sexual intercourse, sodomy, distribution of child pornography and knowingly employing or coercing a minor to participate in the production of child porn.

Alleged victim Jane Doe. Bail set at 3.5 million.  That amount is subject to review.

Deputy District Attorney Stacey Eads is prosecuting the case. Deputy Public Defender Ben McLaughlin has been appointed to represent Yang.
