Probation and six other cases with Humboldt Superior Court did not deter Jared Nelson
Jared Randall Nelson arrested on January 27 has three traffic infractions and three criminal cases listed in Humboldt Superior Court records.
Bail is $150,000.
One case in 2009 was for petty theft. Nelson entered a plea, paid fines and was put on three years conditional probation. Served 1 day in jail.
Another case in 2009 was for burglary,he entered a plea,paid fines and was put in three years conditional probation.
The third case:
Traffic infractions were for no insurance, no registration and using cell phone while driving and not using a hands free device.

Recently the Eureka Police Department put out a Be On The Lookout broadcast for Jared Randell Nelson who was wanted for armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, and terrorist threats.
Nelson was reported to be driving a black Volkswagen and was supposedly armed. On 01-27-18 at about 5:45 p.m. a deputy observed the reported vehicle driving on Broadway in the city limits of Eureka. The deputy confirmed that 27 year old Nelson was still wanted by the EPD.
The vehicle pulled into a gas station and the deputy stopped behind the vehicle. The deputy determined Nelson was the driver and took him into custody.
During a search incident to arrest, the deputy found a string tied to Nelsons belt. The string was pulled on and a cloth case was found tied to the end of it. The case had been hidden in Nelsons underwear.
Located inside the case was 2.4 grams of heroin, and 1.3 grams of methamphetamine. During a search of the vehicle a loaded .357 caliber revolver was found in a female passengers purse. The passenger claimed Nelson had her hide the revolver in her purse when he saw the patrol vehicle behind him.
Nelson was booked on the EPD charges and the following listed charges: Possession of a controlled substance while armed with a loaded firearm; Felon in possession of a firearm Felon in possession of ammunition Possession of methamphetamine Possession of heroin.
