A female officer was hospitalized tonight after being shot in an ambush-style attack near downtown Los Angeles.
One person is in custody. Police are looking for other possible suspects.
The officer was with a partner, who was not wounded. Neither fired a weapon.
Law enforcement described the situation as "fluid". Media reports are being updated.

This just hours after a workplace shooting in Long Beach law firm that resulted in two deaths. The gunman was a partner in the law firm and he was found dead as a result of a self inflicted wound. One law partner died. Another law partner was injured but survived.
