Law enforcement are not baby sitters

There are still challenges despite what EPD, APD and HCSO and other agencies are trying to do.

Law enforcement are not baby sitters.

People who get cited for infractions
often get cited and release. When the officers or the Judge finally sign a do not cite and release, the jail sometimes lets them go. Space in jail is an issue, a camping violation isn't the same as other crimes. Yet, the message to troublemakers is clear. Nothing will happen to me.

The problem is that those that get repeatedly released with no consequences increase the number and seriousness of crimes they commit.

So instead of town hall meetings and lip service, the City of Eureka, the County and our State Reps need to get off their collective duffs and get funds that help improve public safety.

The job creators need to stop making excuses and start investing. Jobs for your family, friends and funders is not economic development.

The enablers need to quit making excuses and start pitching in to clean up this town instead of begging for taxpayer dollars and solutions.

  1. Hot potatoe subject. Sheriff Arapaio in Arizona had it figured out for years. We don't need a new Hilton #2. We need barracks to hold these pieces of crap. Pay and transport them out of county permanently to a Fema camp near Sacramento and put those Fed $s to use. It would be cost effective and clean up the streets.bushes, parks, brush, dunes, and under bridges locations. Tell Woodie and McG to bring the conbuses up and pack'm full.
