Was the November shooting incident at Les Schwab the result of a love triangle?

I contacted EPD Captain Brian Stephens to follow up on the alleged shooting at Les Schwab and a tip I received on an alleged suspect and motive.

"The shooting that occurred near Les Schwab that resulted in damage to their building a vehicle in the parking lot is still being investigated by our Criminal Investigation Section.  It is an ongoing investigation.  We are currently still working forensics associated with the investigation and have nothing new to report at this time."

Since it is an ongoing investigation, Captain Stephens cannot comment on this alleged tip.

According to my source this information is a conversation between my source and  a manager at Les Schwab. I did ask if the police knew these details and told my source I would be contacting EPD.

The manager claims that "an assistant manager is dating a girl whose ex boyfriend is allegedly the one who "shot up" the assistant manager's car and building.

According to my source, the girlfriend has a temporary restraining order against the ex boyfriend. "The X shot up the car pretty good at least 4 shots + the one that missed the car and hit the building. "

According to my source, the employees at Les Schwab are " pretty Shook Up thinking the guy will come back a kill them all."

I am not going to comment on whether there are eye witnesses or not due to the ongoing police investigation.

I did try contact Les Schwab manager Marty, a couple of times. Yesterday, I was told he would not be back until Monday.

    1. Maybe because law enforcement has to collect evidence that can be tried and proven in a court of law? Maybe because we live in a rural area with no forensic psychiatrist? Maybe because some testing needs to be sent outside Humboldt? Maybe because law enforcement has a lot more cases than those that make the headlines? Maybe because of the laws in California like Prop 47 and 57 that allow repeat offenders to be released with a slap on the wrist?
