Law enforcement responds to call about shots fired on Big Lagoon Road


HCSO Sgt. Greg Allen said there were "no injuries, no suspects at this time.  Investigation is ongoing."

284 Big Lagoon Road. Suspect vehicle gone, house has several holes in it.

On December 29, HCSO patrol logs indicate there was a follow up at this address. On December 18, according to the HCSO CFS daily log,   at 12:52 a call to check on a problem with an animal. Reporting party Kim Brown. On December 18 at 1:18, there was a welfare check requested at this address by Dr. Karen Santos.

Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a residential shooting in the Big Lagoon area.

Around 4:45 p.m. on Dec. 30, 2017, sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a residence on the 200 block of Big Lagoon Park Rd. for reports of shots fired at a residence. Upon arrival, deputies located multiple bullet holes in the front of the residence.

According to the victim, two suspects began shooting at the residence from a vehicle out front and then fled the scene.

The vehicle is described as a new model, medium to dark grey sedan with tinted back windows, chrome wheels and/or chrome accents around the windows. One suspect is described as a thin, white male adult in his 20’s or 30’s, wearing a grey baseball cap.
