35,000 marijuana plants seized from a SoCal "fortress" will be destroyed

(San Bernardino PD)
Second District Supervisor Estelle Fennell shared the link to the article with this caption, This is what’s happening down south ......."

"Southern California police seized 35,000 marijuana plants from a weed “fortress” and shut down an operation they believed was bringing in millions of dollars a month."

Investigators also raided three properties all owned by Stephanie Smith, 43, of Pacific Palisades, and found marijuana plants in each residence.
Marijuana has been legalized, but there are stringent requirements," Madden said. "It's not that you just get to set up shop where you want to set up."

  1. Exactly. The stringent requirements every business must adhere to. Go talk to a Body Shop or Auto Repair Shop. City, County and State requirements are here to protect John Q Public from people like this. Sure wish the Government would add tax evasion on these People on top of seizing all their stuff.

  2. She's pretty cute. Definitely doesn't look 43.

  3. As long as they call it stringent requirements, they can send in SWAT teams instead of typical inspectors with clipboards and ticket forms?
What else will be added to the stringent requirement list? Raw milk & herbal ointments have been known to get the SWAT team treatment.
This is all about the permit, not the product.
I'd rather see a taco truck on every corner than a SWAT team.
With that said, operations that are overly greedy, like this one in the article, should be held accountable to the community, not to the politicians. If not destroyed/confiscated, a huge portion/percentage could be paid out to their community for their transgressions against agreed upon limits.
Destroying LEGAL private property/commodities due to ticket/permit infractions is beyond fascism.
