Massive response by first responders to Blue Lake Fire

Reader Julie Ann Gaethle sent in these photos of the Blue Lake Fire today.

She was at the festival, went to the scene. Power was already out at her home at 4, as it was for many. She said this fire started shortly.

Three planes and a helicopter dropping fire retardant. The number of planes observed depends on when one was on scene. HCSO on scene. Several fire departments including Kneeland.

According to the incident commander, this is not officially confirmed but they ate investigating the possibility that the fire was caused by downed power lines due to the wind.
