Betty Chinn's warehouse broken into again

Betty Chinn's warehouse got broken into, again. This happened today, "sometime this afternoon", said Betty. "Somebody called me. There were two trucks full of stuff, hidden under the railroad tracks."

EPD was called. A man who had some of that stolen property was arrested.

"This is the second time," Betty said. Her voice calm but weary.

EPD Captain Steve Watson confirmed the break-in, "Yes it did. Not as substantial as before.  A local alarm company is donating a system for her. "

John Dalkin was the only arrest and person booked  at 6:34 p.m. by EPD for receiving stolen property. He was also arrested for violation of parole.

July 6 EPD Press Release:

On July 3, 2017, at about 4:57 p.m., officers with the Eureka Police Department responded to the 30 block of West 2nd Street for the report of a second burglary to the Betty Kwan Chinn warehouse.  The exact time of the break-in is unknown and no suspects were on scene.  A short distance away, officers located 45 year old John Dalkin in possession of items stolen from the warehouse.  Dalkin was arrested and booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility (HCCF) for possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance.

  1. That is beyond disgusting. Since they obviously have no shame, what about shunning them? I would.
