Regardless of how you feel about Israel or Palestine, County officials do not get to ignore and be non responsive, Stacey Eads has been MIA for months

Shannon Bettis has been speaking out on this issue, specifically Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees for several months. I have for months and years called out certain people at the County level for their non response, especially District Attorney Stacey Eads. Since she ignores emails, twice I have asked Ms. Eads on this blog to respond whether Mr. Rees is in any supervisory capacity or the Assistant DA. It is an observation made by me and a few people at the Courthouse.

I was told posters with the same information were put up at the Courthouse in the morning on 5/8. 

Regardless of how you feel about Israel or Palestine, County officials and department heads do not get to ignore and be non responsive. Sheriff Honsal may take some time but he does get back to media.  

Shannon Bettis has submitted PRAs to the County. In Humboldt, Jared Huffman, Mike McGuire, Jim Woods, DA Eads, the Board of Supervisors, Cal Poly Humboldt administration,City of Fortuna Police, Security National, Yurok Tribe, Bear River Casino, all think they can respond if and when they want and selectively. Private businesses and the tribes can do what they want but then they shouldn't whine about the coverage and they certainly are not being leaders and professionals by their actions. 

Government officials and police departments don't get to ignore taxpayers pay their salaries. Abuse of power and arrogance is a plague nationwide and worldwide but in a small rural county like Humboldt that has serious consequences. The protests and the response have highlighted chronic problems that have existed in Humboldt long before April 22, 2024. No one is above the law. Silencing and arresting journalists and ignorance of California Senate Bill 98 by law enforcement and Cal Poly administration which specifically addresses this issue is inexcusable.
