In less than 24 hours, spineless Tom Jackson has even lost the regular LOCO crowd. Tom Jackson et al are still not being exposed by certain media who continue to spin headlines and run MIA Tom Jackson's bs press release. Cal Poly Humboldt has a website where they can post regurgitated updates.
Lost Coast Crappost is a day late and a dollar short in finally writing about Adelmi's arrest. I confirmed it with KRCR Assistant News Director Nazy Javid at 6:30 a.m. yesterday while walking 40 blocks to get downtown. I spoke with Adelmi yesterday while covering the rally for hours, getting official respinses and checking on several court cases. I wrote yesterday that she is not being charged per HCSO. Since it was Sheriff William Honsal who drove her back to Cal Poly Humboldt campus, LOCO could have contacted him not KRCR and done actual work about whether law enforcement will send a report to the DA. They could have called CalPoly Humboldt Police who arrested her instead they are lazy and call KRCR who is actually busy reporting news.
LOCO also failed to mention Senate Bill 98 which I reported about yesterday or call out the bill's coauthor Mike McGuire and Governor Gavin Newsom like I did. Does LOCO ever do anything without being called out repeatedly and posting news already reported. RHBB also did not call out McGuire or Newsom and only reported on Adelmi's arrest after it was covered by me and national media. Just like the Commission on Judicial Proceedings on Kreis, there is a pattern with certain local Humboldt media.
Linking you tube clips about Adelmi we saw yesterday from KRCR today after being repeatedly called out. LOCO and RHBB could have found out who S. Kotterman is but they did not. ABC7 Chicago and national did a better and quicker job of reporting on Adelmi's arrest with transcripts from the livestream.
I criticize Thad Greenson a lot but at least he finally put his name on a May 2, 2024 editorial which is online now called "Failed Leadership". That editorial raised some points I have made and others like the protestors, those at the rally and commenters have made. The only press release I want from Cal Poly is Tom Jackson and Mildred Garcia resigning and being fired and for McGuire and Newsom to issue a public apology for misleading us that they care about the press or freedom of speech or protecting journalists. Where is the apology and accountability from S. Kotterman and Janelle Jackson. All these people should go find another job because we pay their salaries.
Tommy, CPH admin, Mike McGuire and Gavin Newsom are no different than GOP Representative Mike Lawler who doesn't really care about antisemitism but wants to use a bill to crackdown on protests all over campuses in America. If you are not apalled by the authoritarian United States you live in now, leave and allow someone who values and fights to protect freedom, decency and constitutional rights to take your place. Of course Connie Stewart who helped get ousted Gregory Kreis appointed, ingriates herself defending Rex Bohn, signs the pathetic email by Tom Jackson.
Democrat and Republican lawmakers and university presidents and administration can spare me the fake concern for Israel or Gaza, they want to silence dissent and keep making money while most of America struggles. If the US lawmakers really cared, they would be doing everything to get Hamas to release all the hostages or rescue them instead of sitting back and letting innocent civilians be bombed and sending in hordes of police to beat students, professors and journalists.
5/2: What good are press credentials when there is no agency in Humboldt that issues them, I had requested either HCSO or the city where one resides such as Eureka Police Department issue them. What good are press credentials Cal Poly Humboldt when your police ignored valid press credentials and detained Adelmi? Get off your high horse with the daily defiant updates and doubling down and issue apologies and answer what you have done to hold your Janelle Jackson and S. Kotterman accountable who don't know the law. EPD, City of Arcata, HCSO and even state agencies respect all forms of media which includes freelancers, podcasts, bloggers and student journalists. Not all media is beholden to the good ole boys and your latest stunt is to play favorites with certain media who assist you in your spin. Hire them for your PR department. I wasted a lot of time and lost money covering a week of civil liberties and laws about press being violated because Cal Poly admin can't communicate and deescalate and turned a one day protest into days of unnecessary drama. Nationally speech is being censored by big money and politics and you think Cal Poly Humboldt is where I want to be after what happened this week?
