Ryan Thomas Weinert was arrested by HCSO yesterday and booked for PC 273.6 (a) violating a restraining order as a misdemeanor. This is listed as a new arrest for 2024. Weinert posted bond.
Weinert's family law case is mentioned in the notice of formal proceedings filed by the Commission on Judicial Proceedings against Gregory Kreis who is currently on vacation and not returning to Humboldt Superior Court as a judge. Voters kicked Kreis to the curb in the March 2024 election. I have done several posts on Weinert that I will add links for shortly.
A 2022 case for the same charge against Weinert was dismissed, the same charge in a 2023 case was never filed by the DA and rejected.
I do not know if the DA will file charges and Ryan do not email me. I am in no mood for you after my time being wasted yesterday and causing me to work this weekend. I am not your therapist or your lawyer. I will follow up on this arrest like I have previously for you and any other defendant and report from official sources and court records. Since you are out of custody, the DA's office is not making any decision soon on the charges. And may not for months.
I am not interested in unrelated drama between you and Erica or any other parties. I do not report on family law cases unless it has some relevance to a criminal or civil case. I will report on independently verified facts.
Law enforcement needs to have same database where they are aware of the repeated history of certain parties so they can make informed decisions. If charges are not filed again, this arrest is a waste of time for law enforcement, jail staff, the DA and the criminal justice system is being misused by people working out family and divorce issues and can't engage in self reflection why their divorce case is dragging. I will be updating on another court case once I can confirm the DA has rejected and is not filing charges. Same dynamics at play?
It is ridiculous the amount of time wasted because grown adults think courts are their playground to work out their poor choices in relationships, dumb decisions they made that they double down on instead of taking respinsibility and moving and inconsiderate neighbors.
