This morning Michael Acosta's 2020 case was on for setting of VOP hearing. In February, Mendocino Judge Ann Moorman summarily revoked Acosta's probation. This means the conditions of probation stay in effect, but it stops the clock running on the probation period.
Retired Visting Judge Leonard LaCasse scheduled a setting of the VOP hearing and status of appeal for 8/6/24.
The State Bar has placed Acosta on involuntary inactive status. He is ineligible to practice law in California. I reported that on April 24.

I also reported in February 2024 that Acosta's conviction was submitted to the State Bar and that he had been assigned an attorney for his appeal.

8/6: Setting of VOP hearing and status of appeal continued to 10/8. Details in court minutes.
