"Not for war or occupation" another rally at 5th and I, Cal Poly admin exposed by local Jewish leaders

I saw the rally, I heard the chants a while back. "No Justice, no Peace", "No racist police" "Israel os a racist state", "Israel is a para state." There are other signs. The protests and chants have received a lot of coverage. There is no new information to cover about the protest today. I don't recognize or see any of the students and ralliers I spoke with on Tuesday. At 5:25,  people with signs were still walking up to the 5th street court entrance. They could be students but seemed more like supporters from the community. Deputy DA Roger Rees is here on his own time. Neither side is engaging each other.

Between cars honking support at both sides, its noisy and I don't know who this guy is but his screaming random angry baiting insults about Muslims and fences and is being ignored. Seems more like an opportunist but then so are the politicians, local, statewide and nationally. Today, cars honked in support of the protestors but there were also few people who also did that in support for Mr Rees. A driver pulled over in rush hour traffic to speak with Mr. Rees.

The bigger story is will Cal Poly Humboldt administration, Mike McGuire Jim Wood continue to ignore the letter from Jewish leaders, continue to ignore how they have failed the Cal Poly students, this community over the years. These protests highlight struggles and frustrations beyond the current situation in Israel and Gaza.

I wrote in one of my many posts that many people commenting on the Cal Poly Humboldt do not care about Israel or Gaza. I consistently called out Cal Poly admin. If after this letter from local Jewish leaders, anyone still wants to pretend Cal Poly admin including Tom Jackson and Connie Stewart care about anyone other than getting paid, don't ask Cal Poly admin to be fired for the unneccesary closure and the over top use of massive police brute force or defend politicians using the horror the Jewish community has faced historically and still does to the present day for their selfish motives, then a snake has more morals than you.

While others have made some of the same points in the letter from the local Jewish leaders, these are key paragraphs exposing Cal Poly Humboldt admin and the opportunist politicians.

But we do not find the protests themselves to be antisemitic and we reject it as justification for the police force used against the protesters. This inappropriate justification is all the more problematic because it was done without any consultation with Jewish community leaders.

Senator and Assemblymember, you stated concern for the difficult experience of “Humboldt’s Jewish students and others over the past week.” Yes, the past week has been traumatic, for the entire campus community and community at large. But the problems with antisemitism at Cal Poly Humboldt are not confined to one tumultuous week.

Mike McGuire and the local politicians, the Cal Poly admin and all the others who profit from HSU becoming Cal Poly recruit students here knowing there is a housing shortage, they could care less about the safety of their students and that is more than the Josiah Lawson case and they definitely do not care about the lives lost in Israel or Gaza.

Who cares about civil liberties being violated, freedom of speech, human lives lost as long as some entitled Westerners get to engage in a wasteful custom from Europe in the Middle Ages and walk down in their caps and gowns and party because that is what defines graduating from college. This last paragraph is sarcasm for the IQ challenged that inhabit the comment sections in Humboldt.
