City of Eureka manager finalists meeting with HueLife and lunch with staff before tour

(Fursman and de la Plaine)

(Lotter and Brown)

Richard Fursman of HueLife and colleagues are here and just met them at Eureka City Hall. I alsso got to meet three of the out of state candidates: Tyler de la Plaine, Dean Lotter and Matt Brown. The fourth out of county candidate is Paul Van Haute. The internal candidates Brian Gerving and Miles Slattery  did not have to travel far.

The candidates are meeting with Mr. Fursman, then lunch with staff and then a tour. Lunch has been catered by The Grind.

Gregg Foster, RRDEC Executive Director will be leading the tour for all six candidates.

The tour will begin at City Hall, travel along the City limits, brief stop at the Zoo, brief stop at WWTP and the last stop will be at Betty Chinn’s day center.  The public meeting will begin at 5 pm, at the Wharfinger this evening and to allow some time for candidates to mingle with the public after which each candidate will have 5 minutes to introduce themselves to the assembled group.  Cards will be on hand for the public to complete with their thoughts on who they would like to see as the next City Manager.  Those cards will be given to the Council when they deliberate.

Public input can also be given tomorrow morning before Eureka City Council meets in closed session
