"She's ripe. I am gonna have her."

The most powerful testimony at the Franklin Molina preliminary hearing was from one of the alleged victims, Adam Owen. He is a cannabis cultivator and has been in the business for 25 years. Owen lives in Geyersville. The incident happened at his Garberville property.  He believes Molina's accomplice is someone who worked for him.

In detail, Owen described how two men in ski masks came through the front door  told him and his daughter to get down, pistol whipped him, stole from him, threatened him with his life and Molina referring to Owen's daughter  said "She's ripe. I am gonna have her." The victims were tied up, shoved in a closet with the door barricaded shut as the suspects fled from the scene. The daughter had her cell phone. Owen said they managed to get it out of her pocket and dial 911. It took law enforcement "about an hour to arrive."

Owen had lacerations on his head from being hit several times; these wounds took six weeks to heal. He had been thrown and dragged down the stairs and his elbow still hurts today.

While the stolen Denali was recovered, Owen estimated his loss at $120,000 to $130,000. This included firearms,$30,000 cash from one safe, gold coins from another safe and more from a third safe.

During cross examinnation, Deputy Public Defender Casey Russo brought up inconsistencies between Owen's court testimony and what he told law enforcement. Mr. Russo also asked Owen about certain details he mentioned in court today and asked him why he did not mention those to law enforcement.

I already covered the Humboldt and Mendocino December incident live.  There were a few details from MCSO today that wete new.  This included Molina identifying himself as Arra Quince, spanish for "R 15" referring to an AR 15. MCSO had OnStar disable the GMC Denali Molina had allegedly stolen from Owen. Molina threatened if the vehicle was not unlocked in 10 minutes everyone would die.

Molina told Sgt. Espinoza that if he was caught, his family would be killed. This is during the time MCSO was trying to get Molina to surrender.

The prosecutor for this case is Deputy District Attorney Luke Bernthal.
