Arcata Main Street's 29th Annual Oyster Festival to be held June 15
Arcata Main Street’s 29th Annual Oyster Festival will take place on Saturday, June 15th from 10:30 am - 5:30 pm on the Arcata Plaza! The Arcata Bay Oyster Festival is a free event open to the public and great for all ages.
The 15,000 person event features our local bounty, environmental health, and the diversity of our community. It’s a celebration of North Coast culture where chefs, merchants, volunteers, and guests revel in award-winning oysters and other tasty non-oyster delicacies, local beverages, live local music, local art, The Flupsy Family Fun Zone, and Green Street. This year’s Oyster Festival will feature performances by Diggin’ Dirt, The Lost Coasters, Ju Drum with Seed-N-Soil, The James Zeller Trio, The Gatehouse Well, Deadbird Son, and Ghost Train.
The Oyster Festival is Arcata Main Street’s only fundraiser of the year. Proceeds
from the Oyster Festival fund community events including: Arts! Alive, Trick-or-Treating on the Plaza, A Season of Wonder and Light, My Favorite Lecture, Concerts on the Plaza, and many more.
