Jason Arreaga, who was acquitted in February 2016 of double homicide charges in Humboldt County, ended up being convicted in Lake County for carjacking, robbery, battery causing serious bodily injury, and unlawfully taking a vehicle and is in prison.
He filed an appeal in his Lake County case, he had a small victory.

It is less than it seems, because the car-jacking was the same event as the VC 10851, so the sentence on that had been stayed. His sentence remains the same.
