"I can't afford an attorney."

Parker, more scrawny looking than his booking photo, was just arraigned.

Deputy Public Defender Casey Russo told Visiting Judge Ksenia Tsenin that Parker was "seeking private counsel."

Parker piped up, "I can't afford an attorney." The Public Defender's office was appointed. Time was not waived. Mr. Russo said OR/Bail was "waived without prejudice at this time."

Intervention is scheduled for June 17. Preliminary hearing is on June 19. Deputy District Attorney Whitney Timm was present for the People.
