Two different takes on why the homeless count numbers in San Diego have decreased
San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer said in a Fox Business interview that the county wide homeless count numbers in San Diego have decreased by 6 percent.
Faulconer says this is due to bridge shelters, wraparound services and providing a storage center for belongings. While the effort is costly, Faulconer says it is money well-spent.
"A sidewalk or a tarp or a riverbed is no place for a home," said Faulconer.
The same article says LA's numbers have gone up by 12 percent.
