Today at about 3:45pm, a Fortuna resident reported that he briefly when inside and when he returned, his truck, trailer, and miscellaneous lawn maintenance equipment had been stolen.
At about 5:00pm, an Officer with the Fortuna Police Department located the vehicle traveling in the area of Palmer Boulevard and Highway 101. Officers conducted a high risk traffic stop and arrested the driver Amanda Jones (age 29 of Fortuna).
Jones was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Faculty for possession of stolen property and probation violation. Jones is currently on probation for theft.
