Danny Waters preliminary hearing was brief; case may resolve before jury trial
Visiting Judge Ksenia "Kay" Tsenin held Danny Waters to answer on all charges after his preliminary hearing this morning
Arraignment on information is June 17.
Count 1 is attempted murder, victim Donald Waters. Count 2 Criminal threats resulting in great bodily injury or death, victim Patricia Waters. Count 3 Assault with a firearm, victim Donald Waters.
Deputy District Attorney Luke Bernthal was the prosecutor for the preliminary hearing. Waters is represented by Deputy Public Defender Brie Bennet.
Officer Benjamin Omey testified for the People.
Waters has had three brain injuries and has comprehension issues. Both attorneys discussed offers outside court, so case may resolve prior to a jury trial.
