Call HCSO if you see this inmate, he walked away from a work crew
Update : On June 4, 2019, at about 10:25 a.m., a citizen reported to a Eureka Police Department (EPD) officer that wanted Humboldt County Correctional Facility work crew inmate Corey James Allmon, 25, was seen running near D and Clark Streets.
After a brief foot pursuit, Allmon was taken into custody by EPD officers in an alley to the rear of the 1200 block of C Street.
Allmon was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on his original charge of violation of mandatory supervision, in addition to fresh charges of escape, resisting arrest and violation of probation.
The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the observant citizen who reported Allmon’s whereabouts to law enforcement and the Eureka Police Department for their help returning Allmon to the Correctional Facility.

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office needs the public’s help to locate a Humboldt County Correctional Facility (HCCF) inmate who walked away from an inmate work crew this afternoon.
On June 3, 2019, at about 1:10 p.m., HCCF inmate Corey James Allmon, 25, was discovered missing from an inmate work crew during a routine headcount. Allmon had been working on a crew that was performing maintenance on the Hikshari Trail near Truesdale Street in Eureka at the time of his disappearance. It is believed that Allmon may have headed south on the trail towards Hilfiker Lane.
Allmon is described as a black male adult, 6 feet 2 inches tall, approximately 190 pounds, medium build, with short black hair and brown eyes. Allmon was last seen wearing a blue shirt with a white undershirt, blue jeans and black boots.
Anyone who sees Allmon should contact 9-1-1. Anyone with information regarding Allmon’s possible whereabouts should contact the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office at (707) 445-7251.
