Starting 2020, all California homes are required to be solar powered

California became the first state in the nation yesterday to require homes to be solar powered, effective 2020.

Today, the California Building Standards Commission voted unanimously to add this to the building code. This action upholds the May 9 vote by the California Energy Commission.
