Dylan Wilson, who allegedly grabbed and tried to assault a 12 year old on her way to school in Arcata, had intervention scheduled today.
Wilson's preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 11. That was vacated.
A hearing to set future dates is scheduled for October 24 at 10:15.
Deputy Public Defender Luke Brownfield is representing Wilson. The defense requested a continuance for the preliminary and asked that the hearing be put over for three to four weeks. Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer, appearing for Deputy District Attorney Stacey Eads did not object to the continuance but said the People wanted the hearing in two or three weeks.
Visiting Judge said he would schedule a setting in two weeks. The defense can tell the Court of the status of reports they have requested and need before the preliminary hearing.
