"Terrible inconvenience. There are many people from out of state."

Sentencing for Kade Chandler scheduled for November 27 at 8:30 was continued to tomorrow because Judge John Feeney was out sick. If Judge Feeney is not in tomorrow, it will be continued, again.

The families have been waiting since February 2015 for closure and justice.

The hallway outside the courtroom was packed with approximately 50 family and suporters, many out of state.

Deputy Roger Rees apologized for the incovenience. Savannah Kindred's uncle responded, "Terrible inconvenience. There are many people from out of state."

The People had made a final offer for a six year cap on a prison term with Chandler pleading to Count 1 & 2 and pleading to Count 3 as a misdemeanor.  Chandler accepted that offer and plead guilty on October 11.

Count 1 Gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated; victim Kendra Lewis; special allegation "personally inflicted great bodily injury."

Count 2 Gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated; victim Savannah Kindred; special allegation "personally inflicted great bodily injury".

Count 3 Driving under the influence of a drug causing injury; victim Bradley Thuemler; special allegation "personally inflicted great bodily injury"

The case is being prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees. Chandler is represented by Mr. Benjamin Okin and Mr. Manny Daskal.

The two women were members of the Blue Lake Rancheria Tribe. Family members and friends both Ms. Lewis and Ms. Kindred have been present for every court hearing.
