  1. Is there an update on the criminal investigation being conducted regarding the Coroner's office. I saw articles on LoCO that indicated incumbent Mayor Frank Jager has some involvement.

    1. The State has taken over the investigation and no update yet. This post isn't about Frank Jager, it is about Allen McCloskey. Of course, he could drop out like he did after announcing for Eureka City Council.

  2. Talk about democrat/unionists posturing for a takeover of the council is small steps.I wonder if he'll use City Hall property for getting the signatures needed?? Isn't it great to have an Obama/Michael roll model to follow for the mayor position. I'm gonna puke!!!

  3. Then let's ping him on the tough issues. And I don't mean anything to do with easy ones like dealing with the homeless or building parklets. Real things that affect the citizenry like, what's the plan for the Corp yard being put next to the zoo? Why do city water rates keep going through the roof with no one questioning it? What to do about abandoned industrial property that can be repurposed? Any workings with the local train nuts to allow an excursion train around the bay? Tax credits for new business that isn't weed-related? Citywide beautification? Streamlining and modernization of city personnel computer networks and hardware (I noticed a few computers in City Hall still using Windows 98!!!). What about the jail expansion? Can we find some money to complete it or build a new facility elsewhere? What do do about schools and Measure S money (only thing that's really happened so far is EHS gets a new gym maybe in 4 years). What about facilities for kids to play in? A skatepark is no help for kids that don't skateboard. There are a myriad of issues that folks deal with daily that are always off the radar for one reason or another.
