Bill Damiano, it is not mugshots hindering rehabilitation, its probation, specifically you and your department responsible for failure or success

I have written about this so many times in the blog with examples of people in court again or getting arrested frequently and people see the writing on the wall themselves with the daily arrests.


Rescue Mission Executive Director Bryan Hall and others who have succeeded in changing their lives have done so because they wanted to. Like it or not public shaming works.

Between Moonbeam and the Democrats utter failure to hold criminals to consequences and being soft on crime and you, Bill Damiano, only interested in growing your Probation Department; law abiding citizens suffer.

Probation does not work locally and it does not work in California. As Chief Probation Officer, while you collect a bloated salary and benefits,and will be leaving soon, the failure of your leadership will be left behind in Humboldt.

Your department budget should be cut for giving such an irresponsible interview to the Times-Standard. Your bosses, the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors, should have a sit down with you for repeatedly whining to certain media and  putting the blame of your failure and lack of leadership on law enforcement, media and the public and the public's right to know who to watch out for.
