The PIO spoke to KSBY's Alexa Bertola and said the riot happened on the east wing in a level 3 yard . No prison staff involved in or hurt.
A riot in the California Men's Colony started shortly before 11 a.m after a fight broke out involving inmates. It resulted in five injuries; one death.
No information yet what prompted the riot.
