Instead of exchanging presents for their anniversary, a local couple donate $1700 of gift cards

Whoever donated these last year and this year wishes to remain anonymous.

With all the negative news out there, it is good to remember why we live in Humboldt and the positive aspects.
This photo and caption from First District Supervisor Rex Bohn, who will be as surprised to see this on here, as you.

"So this morning on my desk is 1700 dollars of local businesses Gift Cards.  With directions to give to some of our Public Employees for the job they do for our community. Last Year they did this and I gave to our local Fire and Police and Sheriff this  year was told my call. These are given by a local Business owner and his wife instead of exchanging presents on their Anniversary. They are Thankful for Their Family, Employees and the many people of HUMBOLDT who support their business.  They want no recognition so their identity is safe with me.  They are pretty cool people though👍. Love Humboldt."
