Today at about 3:45pm, a Fortuna resident reported that he briefly when inside and when he returned, his truck, trailer, and miscellaneous lawn maintenance equipment had been stolen.

Three Eureka police officers recognized by CHP




"Three Eureka Police Officers were recognized today at the Northern Division 10851 Award Ceremony. "

"The California Highway Patrol (CHP) and the California State Automobile Association (CSAA) annually recognize officers who meet the award requirements within a 12 month period.  The award is named after the California vehicle code for auto theft. "

With $1 million bail, Sean Allman is still in custody



Sean Allman's bail is $1 million. As of this morning, he is still in custody.

At the request of Governor Gavin Newsom and in commemoration of June as LGBTQ Pride Month, the Pride flag will be flown on the main flagpole of the State Capitol building​ today through July 1 ​for the first time in state history.

Three arrests made by HCSO at Humboldt Redwood Company


"HCSO deputies are assisting with protests again this morning at the Humboldt Redwood Company. This morning company employees arrived to approx. 15 protestors, one of which was located on a 24 ft ladder attached to the property gate (gate is located on private property). Resources from HC Public Works are being utilized to safely lower the ladder and take the protestor into custody on charges of trespassing. Three arrests have been made as of 8 am for charges of trespassing, resisting arrest and impeding traffic."

Special allegations added to each count for Danny Waters who is charged with assaulting his own family


Danny Waters was arraigned on information for his jury trial this morning. Special allegations have been added to each count in the complaint filed.

Pre trial scheduled for 6/27, Trial confirmation July 16 and Jury Trial for August 5.

As I mentioned in the previous post, there are discussions to resolve the case before jury trial.

Argument led to shooting inside Costco in Corona



An argument led to a shooting at a Costco Wholesale store in Corona. One person dead and three others, including an off-duty officer, were wounded last night. The alleged gunman was taken into custody.

Sean Allman arrested this morning for making threats against group scheduled to visit HSU


The University Police Department is advising the Humboldt State University community to be on the alert for an individual alleged to have sent threats to campus visitors.
