After the DA filed complaint, the correct middle name is McRay. This is the Swains Flat suspect. Johnson's arraignment is scheduled for 8/14.

8/18/25: Conflict Counsel was appointed by Humboldt Presiding Judge Kelly Neel after she entered not guilty pleas on behalf of Johnson and declared doubt as to Johnson's mental competence. Criminal proceedings suspended. The next hearing is on 9/12 for Dr. Lamer's report.
8/29/25: 17 days after Swains Flat Cameron Johnson's arrest, CALFire issued this press release at 10:58 which I will add to my 8/13 post. I called CALFire because a suspect is not named and was told by Jordan that they do not release the name and the details in the press release are all they release. So I said, I have to figure it out based on the date and charges? He said, yes. Thankfully, I already reported right away from the jail log about his arrest and from court records on the case filed in real time.
9/12/25: Cameron Johnson found not competent;
med orders submitted; placement hearing on 10/3/25.
