Alberto Iskra arrested by EPD for sexual battery, kidnapping, false imprisonment, statutory rape, sodomy and forcible rape

 

22 year old Alberto James Iskra was arrested by Eureka Police Department on a Ramey warrant yesterday for PC 243.4(a) sexual battery, PC 207(a) kidnapping, PC 236 false imprisonment , PC 286(b)(1) sodomy, PC 261.5(c) statutory rape  and PC 261 (a)(2) rape by force or fear. Bail at booking is $300,000.

Iskra has a 2023 criminal case in which he was granted diversion;  the case was dismissed by DA on 10/14/24 for successful completion.

2023 case:

9/2/25: Arraigned on charges filed in CR2501849, Public Defender appointed, $750,000 bail set by Retired Judge Joyce Hinrichs. OR bail on 9/4; preliminary hearing on 9/12.

9/4/25: Clerk told me release denied. I checked court minutes which say OR withdrawn. Preliminary hearing scheduled for 9/12.

9/12/25: Preliminary hearing continued to 10/21.

10/21/25: Preliminary hearing continued defense to 11/6.

11/6/25: Preliminary hearing continued by stipulation to 12/9. Request for continuance by DA for DNA evidence and by defense for further investigation.

12/9/25: Preliminary hearing continued by defense to 1/14/26.

1/14/26: Preliminary hearing continued by defense due to ongoing negotiations and PC 288.1 evaluation. Setting of preliminary hearing on 2/13/26.
