Today, there was a case management conference scheduled in Wells Fargo N.A. vs Bayshore Mall, LP. This is the first hearing in the lawsuit filed on February 19, 2025.
Wells Fargo is asking Humboldt Superior Court Assistant Presiding Judge Timothy Canning to appoint a receiver. That is one of the requests. Wells Fargo is also asking for injunctive relief "in connection with the enforcement of a loan which has been in default since November 6, 2024." The loan agreement was dated "as of October 15, 2014."
Ms. Doris Alvarez-Reyes from Perkins Coie LLP located in Los Angeles is the lead attorney listed in the Humboldt Superior e court system. There is no attorney listed for Bayshore Mall LP. Mr. Jeffrey S. Goodfried is the attorney for Ms. Carmen Spinoso who is the receiver.
In a civil lawsuit, a receiver is a neutral third party appointed by the court to manage and protect property or assets involved in the legal dispute.
