Was walking on 6th street at 11:38 a.m., saw EPD vehicle near the ATMs. When I was at the intersection on 6th and G, I saw the Community Services Team EPD officer near the enclosed ATM area. Wells Fargo has had issues with people trespassing and camping so I went to check. I always make sure I do not interrupt law enforcement and let them finish what they are doing. The woman's belongings were in front of both ATMs. She was distressed.
The EPD officer was loading belongings in the back of his vehicle. It looks like he called City Cab for her. City Cab pulled up; the woman handed the City Cab driver money and finally got in the cab at 11:42. The woman had called EPD about something and I don't know the nature of the call, could be confidential and it is not an arrest so am not going to follow up. EPD also prefers media contact the PIO other than basic information if there is an arrest for a crime. The CSET officer just left at 11:46 a.m. ATM area is okay to use.
