Besides being a couple, robbery suspect Danielle Durand and murder suspect Deunn Willis, are also co-defendants. The preliminary hearing for their cases is scheduled for 8/28. Today, I learned of a last minute motion to continue scheduled tomorrow morning. E court and the clerk did not have information on who filed the motion.
Both have retained private attorneys. Mr. Michael Robin represents Durand. Her co-defendant and boyfriend Deunn Willis is represented by Mr. Gregory Kreis. Different Deputy DAs have appeared on the case.
8/27/25: Matter off calendar. Mr. Kreis' motion to continue was rejected.
Preliminary hearing will still be continued tomorrow.
8/28/25: By stipulation, setting of preliminary scheduled for 10/23, reports provided to DA need to provided by defense. Deputy DA Roger Rees appeared on the case for the People.
10/23/25: Preliminary hearing scheduled for 2/3/26. People said there is still outstanding discovery to provide to the defense.
