VOMR Inc. sued Ming Tree, Larry Doss and Cassandra Doss; VOMR's Danville lawyer failed to appear in court and on a consistent basis has lost to Humboldt's Allison Jackson

(Allison Jackson Harland Law Firm website)

I met Ms. Allison Jackson in 2004. That was a year after I moved to Humboldt. Former Humboldt Deputy District Attorney Worth Dikeman was running for D.A. I have known Ms. Jackson for 20 years and followed her career and there are too many victories to mention. Since I started the blog, I got an opportunity to see Ms. Jackson and her law partners in court.

Search the Magney case on my blog which I was the first one to report on and it eventually made national headlines.

Yesterday, I saw a 2025 civil lawsuit on calendar VOMR, INC. VS. Ming Tree, INC., Larry Doss & Cassandra Doss. The case is transfer in from Sonoma County Superior Court.

VOMR, Inc.'s 15 allegations included breach of contract, breach of implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, fraud, neligent misrepresentation.

The lawsuit was filed in March 2025. There was a request for dismissal filed by Ms. Jones on 6/29/24 in Sonoma Superior Court. There was a motion filed by Ms. Jackson and an order granting change of venue requested by Ms. Jackson which was signed on August 6, 2024. Ms. Jackson addressed the dismissal. There was a writ of execution filed by Ms. Jackson. There was an order to show cause against VOMR Inc. in 2024 in Sonoma Superior Court.

VOMR, Inc. is represented by Danville lawyer Ms. Shannon Jones. Ming Tree, Larry and Cassandra Doss by local Harland Law Firm partner Ms. Allison Jackson who is also a former Humboldt Deputy District Attorney.

At yesterday Case Management Conference, there was no appearance by Ms. Jones, Ms. Allison Jackson addressed the court. There is a hearing on 10/3 for Order to Show Cause; failure to appear and failure to prosecute. No dismissal had been filed.

The smartest decision Larry and Cassandra Doss made is to hire Ms. Jackson.

8/11/25: Dismissal filed by Shannon Jones granted without prejudice. The 10/3/25 date was still in e court as of 10/1/25.
