Callie Buck should not have been granted supervised release; a week later she is arrested again

Callie Buck should have never been granted supervised release. Retired Judge Christopher Wilson made that decision on 8/12.

A week later, she is back in custody. Fortuna Police arrested her yesterday for PC 166(a)(4) can range from contempt of court to violating a court order and PC 273.6(a) violating a restraining order.

Disciplinary charges were filed against her in State Bar Court on 6/13/25 after conviction record was transmitted to the State Bar on 2/25/25.

8/20/25: DA filed a new complaint today CR2501701 charging Buck with Count 1 PC 273.6(a) violating a restraining order. Buck was arraigned. Deputy DA Rebecca Buckley-Stein appeared on the case for the People, Public Defender Luke Brownfield appeared for his office at arraignment. Retired Judge Wilson set bail at $25,000, there was no referral to supervised release. A criminal protective order was filed and served in court. OR bail hearing on 8/21; trial confirmation on 8/25 and jury trial on 9/2.

In CR2501602, a previous case I reported on and charges are in prior coverage, Judge Wilson terminated Buck's supervised release; set bail at $10,000. Pre trial on 8/21; trial confirmation on 8/25 and jury trial on 9/2.

8/21/25: Retired Judge Wilson took judicial notice of Buck's FL2400146. OR and supervised release denied in both 2025 cases. Mr. Brownfield appeared on the case for his office. Deputy DA Ian Harris for the People.
