The first few pages of the latest filing in the Nylander Redwood Meat drama are like an episode of Yellowstone but set in Humboldt and not as exciting

Since my last post in the Nylander family, Redwood Meat Saga, a first amended complaint has been filed by Ms. Cyndy Day-Wilson. She represents Stephanie, Rachel and Russel Nylander. It is a lengthy court document and I have included the entire filing which alleges "breach of fiduciary duty, corporate waste, unjust enrichment, declaratory and injunctive relief."

Ms. Heather Burke, a partner at Harland Law Firm, is Ryan and John Nylander's attorney. Mr. Dustin Owens represents Redwood Meat Co., Inc. They have not filed a response yet to the First Amended Complaint.

Just based on my coverage of this case and court documents so far, I cannot wait to read the response filed by Ms. Burke and Mr. Owens and what Humboldt Superior Court Assistant Presiding Judge Timothy Canning has to say.

I was informed after my December 7 post on 12/9 that a response was filed by Ms. Heather Burke as well and cross complaint which was filed on November 26 before Thanksgiving. It was not entered into e court when I checked the case but on 12/9, I got the court documents.

Even if you are not into legalese, the 18 page filing by Ms. Day-Wilson should be of interest to those familiar with Redwood Meat Co history and the Nylanders. The first few pages read like an episode of Yellowstone but set in Humboldt and not as exciting. I don't think the Nylanders or any Humboldt ranching family have a Beth Dutton or Rip Wheeler. Now that would make coverage of this lawsuit less dreary. Not to make light of the filing but if you can stay awake past page 7, then you qualify as an Humboldt old timer. The goss and infighting of the Nylander family and dirty laundry was done by the filing of this document. I just reported on it like every other civil court document in every civil case I covered.

There is a case management conference scheduled on 1/27/25. The screenshots above are from the last three posts I did on this case.
