Got a very respectful email late evening on December 10. I am not including the part with the telephone number provided in the email for verification. Especially, since it is not the same number that is on the court paperwork.
"Hi John,
My name is Sherman Landry. I can be reached at (phone number). I'm going to get to the point. I believe a UPS employee stole a high value package of sports cards (Shohei Ohtani and Jasson Dominguez) enroute from Goldin Auctions. My package was supposed to be delivered to my residence, but someone internally at UPS re-routed my package for pick up at the UPS Service Center in Eureka. When I arrived to pick up my package, I was told my package was already picked up. The staff member, I believe stole the package had assisted my with repackaging and return shipping of a couple cards to auction houses in the past, so he was aware I was collecting sports cards. This isn't the first time a UPS employee has stole sports, my primary witness has also had sports cards stolen at the same UPS Service Center. To top it off, I use to work there and I know this person and their family. I'm holding UPS responsible. Sorry for the late notice. Humboldt Superior Court Small Claims Room #8, date is Wednesday, December 11th at 9:00AM. I hope you can make it.

This is how you send a tip. This is how you respectfully ask for coverage. I was able to look up the case and further verify the information in the email due to the details provided. I told Sherman I would do my best to be there in person but I had several other court cases to cover at that time but if I couldn't be there, I would check the case and court minutes for the December 11 hearing. I have included court records and the 12/11/24 minutes.
Commissioner Sarah Kaber took the matter under submission. Landry lawsuit is against United Parcel Service, Inc. Tamara Renner and Garrett Anderson. The allegations are from 2023 and involve sports cards.
