Auditor Cheryl Dillingham's resignation is on next Tuesday's Board Agenda. It isn't a scoop, it isn't breaking news. Most people don't care.
The agenda isn't usually posted until Friday evening. Someone leaked it to LOCO a couple hours before. Who cares? There is zero interest in the story despite LOCO groupies attempts to constantly promote LOCO's flailing posts on Humboldt Reddit. So many people on yet another anonymous, irrelevant online forum and many who don't live in Humboldt anymore but pollute the local Facebook pages, Humboldt Reddit and other Humboldt online sites with the same negativity, bitterness they had when they lived here.
The trolls whose heads I live in rent free; thanks for the constant references and publicity. Some of you obviously read every post, every word.
Naming the one or two persistent trolls would just give them the attention they so desperately seek. Predictably they will snark online about me soon. They can't help but be my biggest "fans" mentioning me when it isn't even relevant. Thank you trolls for being so dedicated for two decades.
Do you want a penny for your lame, unoriginal disses? They aren't worth even that piddly amount. You trolls are good at one thing; driving away actual readers and dwindling comment sections from the very sources you desperately promote. Do you have jobs, lives or is LOCO groveling full time your entire existence? When you decide to have the guts to put your names behind your words, maybe; just maybe; they will be worth two cents. I doubt it. Your same nasty, miserable attitude and lame insults haven't changed in two decades.
If people were reading what LOCO wrote, you groupies wouldn't need to constantly promote them on Reddit or elsewhere. Some of the other local media, including myself, are busy putting out content people read and a lot more news than one BFD from an agenda.
A scoop would be why is Dillingham really leaving after two years? A scoop would be more transparency and accountability of County funds. Looking at this week's agenda, it looks like business as usual. Under closed session, I recognize several lawsuits against the County I am covering. What are those lawsuits costing taxpayers? How many of those lawsuits are being handled by lawyers who are not employed by the County? Real auditing would supply those answers without a PRA? Real journalism would be LOCO using the access they have to First District Supervisor Rex Bohn, Humboldt CAO Elishia Hayes and Deputy CAO Sean Quincey for something other than fluff, PR statements and responses.
